Manufacturing Engineer, Senior Level
Our client, a full service designer and manufacturer of custom made metal products and assemblies, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for its plant near Baltimore, MD.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is a key senior level position for the efficient and productive operation of the plant’s manufacturing operations. The incumbent will provide leadership for a team of professional colleagues charged with the design, development, manufacture and launch of customer-specified products. Additionally the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will evaluate existing equipment manufacturing capabilities with respect to the manufacturing requirements of new products. This is a senior level position that requires expertise in this field.
Additional responsibilities and accountabilities for the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will include:
- Direct and coordinate the acquisition and installation of new equipment.
- Lead the design of tooling and fixtures
- Lead efforts to achieve dimensional tolerances and accommodate material characteristics,
- Lead the specification of testing requirements for new products
- Coordinate and prepare project documentation
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology from four-year college or university
- 7-10 years related experience and/or training.
- Requires strong knowledge of machinery and experience in machining centers and grinding.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems required.
- SPC experience required.
- CNC controls and programming experience desirable.
- Must be US Citizen.
