JOB SUMMARY:
This individual will be responsible for supporting the physician practice acquisition group in Dallas, Texas. They will be responsible for Physician Employment Agreements, Asset Purchase Agreements and related equipment and space lease negotiation and drafting. Additionally, this individual will serve as a legal resource to a broad array of operational clients including the clinical provider administration in a variety of settings, and business development and operations. The position would be responsible for ensuring legal compliance with Stark, Anti-kickback and various healthcare regulations impacted through Physician employment, practice acquisitions and practice operations
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experience in health care related drafting and transactional matters especially physician practice acquisitions
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulations including Stark and Anti-kickback regulations with a physician employment and practice acquisition area emphasis
- Possess research, analytical, organizational, and computer skills
- Must be able to work independently but within a team framework
- Must have strong communication skills and be extremely responsive
- An ability to work in a fast paced environment, with a customer service focus, attention to detail, and initiative
- Strong customer service orientation, meticulous attention to detail and strong initiative
- Must be self-motivated, organized, team player and work well in a high energy, fast paced environment
- The individual filling this position must also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization, including top executives and outside counsel
- This position will involve handling confidential matters requiring the exercise of good judgment and discretion
- Providing legal advice and counseling to all levels of management with respect to clinical practice related operational legal issues related to the development
- Acting as corporate representative in litigation and administrative agency actions
- Draft and negotiate a variety of contracts entered into by Concentra
- Oversee legal matters handled by outside counsel.
- Performs other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
- Strong contract drafting skills

- Excellent judgment and initiative in selecting the most effective solutions
- Ability to be a team player as well as manage/lead project personnel in non-legal departments
- Ability to manage outside counsel
- Experience dealing with executive management
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize and manage workload, manages simultaneous tasks, and meets deadlines within a changing and fast paced environment
Required Experience
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
- J.D. from a ABA-accredited law school
- A State Bar membership
JOB RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
- Three to Five years of significant practice with reputable law firm and/or in-house legal department
